This award-winning short film gives an unprecedented inside and underground look at being homeless in mid-’90s New York City, from life in the subway tunnels and the former homeless community living in plywood and tarpaper shacks in the Amtrak Tunnel under the West Side Highway, to modern-day „Hoovervilles“ on both the Hudson and East Rivers, as well as city parks. The problem has been made more difficult to see by city politicians and major corporations that wanted the city more tourist-friendly, but the homeless have not gone away…
