The entertainment<br \/>\nindustry\u2019s history provides many examples of the difficulties involved in distinguishing<br \/>\nsubstitutes, unrelated products, and complements. Music companies fought the<br \/>\nintroduction of radio in the 1920s, fearing the new medium would provide close<br \/>\nsubstitutes to buying records.
